Richard believes that brain injury survivors deserve more help than they currently receive. A former executive coach and trainer, Richard struggled to find help while recovering from his own brain injury and wanted to help smooth the path of others undergoing similar challenges. “I want to change the way brain injury survivors are treated, both collectively and individually” Founder & Board Member

Vancouver BIA Office Manager

Lydia is excited to continue her non-profit and community engagement work at Vancouver BIA as our Office Manager. She completed an Accounting degree at Centro Escolar University. She loves surfing the internet to keep her updated of her various interest and to further enhance her skills. Loves to watch film and travel documentaries. She finds fulfillment in serving and helping people in her own special way.

Information Technologies Administrator

Sam’s interest and involvement in volunteering in non-profit and in the community began at an early. He holds an undergraduate degree in Criminology from Simon Fraser University and is an incoming second year law student at Thompson Rivers University. When he is not camping, gaming, or keeping up with all things science and technology, he works at Vancouver BIA as our Information Technologies Administrator. His favourite foods are noodles and sushi.

Social Media Intern

Nicole is close to completing her Bachelor in Business Administration from Capilano University School of Business. She is keen to apply her training in media and event planning to a meaningful organization like Vancouver BIA. Nicole enjoys a health and fitness-focused lifestyle and when she is not assisting with Vancouver BIA media, she plays on two soccer teams and hikes with her dog.

Administrative Assistant / Volunteer Coordinator

Ni-Ko Kao, our Administrative Assistant / Volunteer Coordinator, is an incoming third year student at Western University, pursuing a Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies with a specialization in Accounting. She loves to watch Korean dramas and Friends, feast on sushi, and nap, not necessarily in that order, and came to Vancouver BIA to gain experience and work for a great cause.

Research Assistant

Our Research Assistant, Justin, enjoys being able to discover and share information about novel techniques, treatments, and news in neuroscience through working at Vancouver BIA. In fall, he will return to the University of Toronto Scarborough for his third year of undergraduate studies in Neuroscience. An avid movie and music lover, Justin spends his time playing guitar and singing at karaoke.
